I feel the need to mention a little bit about a friend of mine. He is a Navy SEAL and the service that the military gives us just became much more real today. First of all, it was amazing to see him after 2 years and although the circumstances of him visiting were unfortunate, it was nice to catch up a little with him. I am sure that he doesn't want me sharing with the world his story and so I am not going into detail, but I just got hit with a burst of gratitude for him. He loves his job and he works to keep us safe with all that he has. Not only him, but his entire platoon and many thousands of other platoons as well. They do not have fear of death and just do all that they can to fulfill their duties. I cannot say that I would have as much willpower...in fact, I am sure I could not. I wish to just use this post as a chance to give my gratitude to all serving in the world to better our country and our world. I especially thank D for giving me some real live insight into their world. I love learning about other cultures and the military is definitely another culture for me.
Happy 4th of July everyone!
