I want these kids to know English! I was told my first week of school would be quite frustrating, but I never fathomed that it would be this frustrating. Today my 8-10 year old were insane. They were all best friends and I seriously could not even control them. It wanted to pull my hair out. Luckily I wasn't emotional so I didn't cry! It was a hard class. They know English well, so hopefully I will be able to teach them some rules. :)
My host family is doing well still. I love Stas and Lena. They are both so great and Lena's food is to die for! It is delicious. We are learning Russian from her and she is learning English from us. So far Deidra and I have learned probably about 50 words in two days! We are doing great! Stas was showing us stupid youtube videos last night while we were trying to watch Spongebob. He was showing us the dumbest videos....what a 14 year old! We love him!
I am still trying to fix my gum problem. It makes it hard for me to enjoy the food I am eating. I use special mouth wash three times a day, then Deidra is my little dental hygienist and puts on this gel to my mouth which I leave for two hours. (3 times a day) It is getting monotonous! Hopefully it gets better soon!
Deidra and I went on an adventure on Monday. We woke up at seven and got on the metro to WHO KNOWS WHERE?!?!? haha. We were trying to find the Dentist, but all we had was the address, so we asked lots of people questions and got lots of help (in russian!ha!) Eventually we found our way to the dentist. We only got lost ONCE:) We were in shock at our luck. Being in another country is hard! haha. But I love it. Okay, I am going to go home and eat dinner and learn some more Russian from Lena:)
Goodnight!
