The Spirit

I had a minute to do some thinking on my drive home from volunteering at the OT office today. I was thinking about what I could be doing with my time while I was home; I unsuccessfully moved on from that and started reminiscing about Ukraine and all the wonderful friends that I had there.

I wish I could put into words what love I felt from my family of teachers. I felt so comfortable with every teacher in my group and I'm not sure how everyone felt, but I had a deep love for all of them and still do. There are so many lessons I learned in Ukraine that continue to manifest themselves today.


Also yesterday I was talking to my roomie, Courtney and just told her I was a little bored at home and just felt something was missing. This was her response:
"it's hawaii, it's being around all those awesome people every day, and feeling the spirit more...I'm not focused spiritually here. That's just me, but i miss it there mainly for that reason"
She hit it head on. I feel myself losing focus and getting lazy because I can. In Hawaii, there is no time to waste. You have to use all the time you have to do all you can because you never want to waste a moment there. I need to bring that attitude home with me. I'm working on it.



On another note ----- it is KENNA's 12th birthday today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HER! I cannot believe she is already 12. We are going on a road trip together this summer and I am so excited to go with her. It should be great. She is like a little sister to me...I want her to do everything right! Also, it was KOBY's 8th birthday yesterday! He is getting old too! He is still the same old awesome koby though. He is such a great kid and so fun to have around. Hope I will be seeing lots of the kids this summer.
