1. I ran a half marathon in Seattle. I didn't get the time I was hoping for, but I was still happy with how it turned out. I finished in just under 150 minutes and it was a great course. I got to run on the freeway!!!
(do you see me?)
2. I have spent a plethura of time with Kenna, Kurtis, and Koby!
- Kenna's 6th Grade Graduation
- Going swimming at the pool and bowling and a slip'n'slide all in one day
- Going to the cabin in Canada and spending all of my time with them: kayaking, playing games, building fire, swimming, fishing, doing Insanity, and just having adventures together.
- Going to Discovery Bay with the kids and Mom over by Sequim and seeing tons of wild animals at a game farm, along with swimming in a pool and playing tennis
- Going swimming at Little Cranberry with them one day after playing kickball
I was able to spend some time with Derrill who had just got shot in the leg. It was good to be around the Gifford home again...it is a second home to me.
4. Utah trip for Sara's wedding reception...and hanging with Havyn and Kari...and with Bruce and Amanda...and with Scott at the resevoir! I really did do a lot of things in that short four days that I had in Utah. I really enjoyed being down there with all my friends from Ukraine along with Amanda Bell and especially with my sis and niece!
5. Trying to master the front flip on the trampoline! This was like a four day consecutive process for me! I was determined to learn and I am still trying to land it, but I have the flip down pretty good:)
6. Crafting my own pico de gallo recipe that is, according the Amy Cole, "an ecstasy of culinary genius in her mouth" I really have enjoyed cooking and making up some recipes this summer. It has been a lot of fun. (this picture was taken before my special recipe was crafted)
7. Fuego! I feel like all summer long I have been begging my friends to have fires at the beach or anywhere. I love fire and I love making fire. I do not think anyone understands this obsession, but I love it!
8. Lake Cavanaugh w/ Hales, Mopo and the Crams! An epic day! That is all I have to say about that! So much fun at the lake that day. I learned how to barbeque when we went out there too!
9. Kayaking to Burrows with Mack and fashioning our own fishing poles. Enough said...
(below are some pictures of my fishing pole. haha:)
10. Tubin w/ Catherine, Ames, and Tan for the first time all summer. It was a blast as usual. Later that evening, Catherine and I went to the Mariners game with her dad and older brothers.
11. Hiking with Abrams up to the Oyster Dome off of Chuckanut. It was a strenuous hike, but totally worth the view. I also fashioned a homemade camping stove and tested it up there. It was a success!
12. Almost blowing up the house - this was a bad, but funny experience for me. I do not want to tell the story again...I have told it to many times! I will say this....too much methyl alcohol + one lit match.
(One positive of this experience....I added some pisazz to the coffee table!)
.
